The EazyPod is a compact filtration system from the Nexus family, designed for use in small ponds up to 10,000 liters in size. The device employs a dual filtration process, which combines mechanical and biological filtration, by using 18 liters of static K1 Micro media. The product comes in two colors: grey and granite green. Water from the pond flows into the EazyPod through an inlet and is directed around the outer chamber, passing through a stainless steel grill that traps larger particles which settle at the bottom of the chamber. This is the first stage of mechanical filtration. As water then enters the central chamber, through the stainless steel grill, smaller particles are trapped in the K1 Micro media. Biological filtration occurs as bio-films develop on the surfaces within the media. The cleaned water then overflows into the inner return pipe and flows back to the pond through the outlet. The EazyPod is easy to clean and maintain, by agitating the K1 Micro media with an air pump during the cleaning cycle. A 70-liter-per-minute air pump is recommended for this task.
